Verse: The Devil's Backbone (Spanish Horror film)
Character Name: Santi
Face-Claim: Junio Valverde
That smidge more: Santi is not alive by the normal sense of the word, he is a ghost of a boy who was killed because he saw something he shouldn't have. As such he has all the things that come with being a ghost, he can walk through walls, float, can't be hurt, become unseen, shimmer to another location and can move things with his mind. He resembles a 12 year old boy whose always soaked, and a bleeding head wound that trickles up into the air, otherwise he's fairly pale and fractured. His first language is Spanish but he learned English as time passes, and via people he meets. He's also not evil, and as benevolent as most 12 year olds can be especially since he died in late 1930's.

Santi had dealt with his troubles and that of a boy he befriended, so with that he made his way to some place else in Spain in hopes of enjoying more of the world he didn't get to see. The problem was that Spain was still in the gripes of a Civil war and every town and city he went too, was still in the midst of such dangers and no longer the fun filled places he'd dreamed of seeing. Santi spent time floating around the urban war zones, trying not to be seen by those around him though pets and some children could still see him sometimes. As he walked or floated depending on his mood, Santi saw death and destruction to adults, children and animals. As such he'd sometimes offer a little of miraculous help, such as moving something so someone wasn't trapped or alerting someone of danger or a wounded person
As time passed for Santi which was sometimes slower and sometimes faster then normal people, he finally notice do he country going back to normal and less war driven. He was glad and would often appear during the festival of the dead, as one of the crowd because he'd not be too noticed during those times. Befriending the odd other kid his age Santi played with them on those days and sometimes others, it was hard for him to be too close to a living person since he never changed and couldn't hide his appearance. But Santi did make some friends who just thought he was a little too festive, but as time passed and they grew some did come to rethink their opinions on Santi being a normal boy.
while many of them chose to forget and push the craziness from their minds, a new friend came into Santi's undead life in the form of a blind girl. She showed him much love and affection even though she could never truely touch his face, at best she could merely get a cold or wet feeling if she tried. But she knew he was there from his voice, and for a time Santi smiled enjoying his time with the girl who appeared to be around his physical age. They stayed friends for years and even came close to dating as best as Santi was able, sometimes they'd have trouble when they were out and Santi had to be see no on people would to think the girl was crazy. But after a while her family noticed the boy for what he was, a ghost and tried to exorcise him but Santi shimmered away before they could.
He apologised to her and told her his story, she smiled and said she knew he was different but wasn't sure how. Santi told her that he'd best leave her to her life, because he didn't want to cause her more trouble and also because he never changed. She was sad but understood, though truthfully Santi would check up to her from time to time. Seeing how she was doing and if life and everything was treating her well, with one final smile as the love of his undead life bore her first child. Which she named after him because it was a son, Santi faded from her life and floated elsewhere in the world.
