I'm running...why am I running? Crix thought to himself as he ran though the streets of Hweg Shul. He didn't know the area but he had the feeling that he had been here before. Not only did this place seem familiar but the people around seemed to know who he was. It happened again. Yes it had to have happened again. He was there again, she had to have seen him this time... Seeing an alley just up the road, he turned his direction toward it, still running. He didn't know why he was running but he knew that he wouldn't be running for no apparent reason. As he entered the alley he slowed to a walk. Looking behind him every few steps looking for Williams to show up...
It was cold and raining, he hadn't even taken his hands out of his jacket since he stopped running. In fact he didn't even really remember tucking his hands in there. He stood as closely to the building as possible hoping the some of the rain might be stopped on the way down but it didn't seem to help. It didn't matter as soon as Williams came they could figure out where they were and get back to the apartment. She was being slow though, slower than normal Where the hell is she? He walked to the edge of the alley and peeked out around the corner. He scanned the crowd looking for her, she wasn't to be found but he didn't want to head out looking just yet. Then he saw him, the man in the black trench coat and wide-brimmed hat, just standing there across the street. Staring into Crix's eyes sending a chill down the soldier's back that even the cold rain couldn't do. Crix started to panic as he stared back, they guy didn't move, he didn't flinch, he just stood there watching, whistling. The pure fear that Crix felt in that moment was nothing like he'd ever felt before.
Sliding back behind the wall Crix turned and started to run down the alley, it seemed like the alley only grew longer and longer as he ran, like there was no end to it. As he reached a door he looked down the alley in the direction that he had just run from and there was the man walking toward him. Crix started to panic, as he frantically tried to get the door open the rain combined with his shaky hands caused him to slip from the door as he tried to pry it open. Crix' eyes never left the dark man as he drew closer and closer whistling that same creepy tune until finally someone from the other side activated the door and he ran in pushing the person out of the way and closing the door. Leaning against the wall he slid down on his back until he was seated next to the door. The fear settling in finally he began to break down as he ran his fingers through his wet hair and then down his face. Almost crying, yet no tears came. When he noticed the woman was frantically trying to exit the building with a look of terror on her face that could rival even his own. "Ma'am, Don't! I'm so sorry I ran into you. Someones out there, and he's--" She backed away and stumbled up the old stairs that surrounded the lift as Crix reached out to her. "Ma'am wait! Don't--" And he was silenced as he saw his own hand...*
Blood?..."Miranda!..." He starts to run up the stairs, as fast as he can. The woman heading up in front of him is already gone. Probably a good thing, he didn't need her thinking he was chasing her. Once he got to the up a short way he heard the entrance to the building open behind him and then the menacing steps click on the floor as the man's boots hit heel to toe. And then he heard the whistling followed by the ding of the lift. He started to run faster as he heard the doors slide open and the man step on. At this point he knew exactly where he was, the apartment that they were renting until their ship was fixed. He hurried as fast as he could to get to his floor but the lift was gaining on him. He could hear the man whistling as the elevator ascended toward his floor, but he was almost there, only one more flight of stairs. His heart was pounding, his adrenaline pumping, he cast fear aside in an attempt to beat the elevator. And then finally he made it to his floor only to hear the ding of the elevator as he arrived...
Hearing the man whistling as he stepped of the lift, Crix hurried and ran for his apartment door. He could hear the footsteps behind him, the whistling. He needed to get there before the man did, he needed to know if Miranda was there, if she was alright, that had to be the reason that he was running this way right? He wouldn't have just left her alone with that man out there. He needed to get there. His fatigue started to kick in as he ran and the numbers on the doors started to blur and jumble and then he saw it, their apartment. He ran faster, but slowed as he saw the blood on the door and keypad. He didn't know what to think but he had to find out if she was alright. He opened the door and stepped inside to see her bleeding on the floor terrified and doing her best to crawl away. "Miranda?" He was confused at her reaction, and then he heard it start directly behind him...the whistling...
~Two Days Later~
A detective called to the apartment walks in on one of the most gruesome, bloody crimes scenes that he had ever seen committed. After looking around for a moment one of the crime scene investigators walked up and held out a bloody camera. The detective looks at it then to the investigator and then puts on his rubber gloves and takes the camera. What followed was nothing short of horrifying...*

Video Journal Entry 15:
A shaky close up image of a man appears. The room is dark but the small light on the camera is able to light up the man in the image clearly enough to make out his features, his eyes seems to pop out the most, severely bloodshot with large dark bags under his eyes. His whiskers have grown long and his forehead is damp as well as his hair that can be seen in the frame as though he were sweating. He seems almost paranoid, his voice is quick and just as shaky as his hands holding the camera. He whispers his message as though someone were trying to hear from the other room. "Video journal Entry uh...um, nevermind, Today is our twelfth...or is it thirteenth day here. I don't know...It happened again today, third time this week. I'm still not sure what's happening but I think he knows, he's always near when it happens. I see him, but I can't see his face, he's always in the dark, waiting, watching, whistling some creepy tune. I don't know what to do. Williams says that I just need to get some sleep, she said she never saw him. But he's quick. She must have just missed him. She's been looking at me different recently, I don't think she believes me, I think she thinks I'm making the whole thing up, but she agreed to come look for him with me tomorrow. Hopefully then she'll know I'm not crazy, if I hadn't seen him with my own eyes I'd think I was crazy too. I'm going to try and get some sleep, but it seems pointless, with the storms and the constant dusk it's been hard, the days are blurring together now. Lieutenant Crix Olden, Republic Army, 235th Legion. Signing off." The camera shuts off as the last words escape his lips.

Video Journal Entry 11:
Crix appears on camera again. The room is much brighter this time and the camera is further away. His complexion is pale, his eyes look tired. They're bloodshot and there are bags but it appears that he has at least slept some in recent days. His tone is more irritated than anything. "Video Journal Entry...10? 11? I dunno. Day 9. Williams gave me some more sleeping pills today but they've stopped working, she seems to be really worried about me for some reason but it hasn't happened in three days and the last time it did I was here. I told her about that guy today, she said it was probably just my imagination so I told her that I'd try to stop thinking about it but that guy keeps following me around. He was looking at me the other night from the street when I opened the window. And I swear he's the one that keeps knocking on the door at night, for some reason he always knows when Williams is asleep. Lieutenant Crix Olden, Republic Army, 235th Legion. Signing off." He reaches out and turns the camera off.

Video Journal Entry 6:
Crix appears on camera, his voice is chipper but his face doesn't quite suit what his voice sounds like. "Video Journal Entry 6, Day 5. The headaches stopped but I blacked out. I guess that's not such a bad thing since I'm assuming that means I finally got some sleep, then again I don't feel rested. As you can see," He holds up two fingers under his eyes with a smile on his face. "My eyes are still pretty bloodshot and there's still these ugly bags under them. Williams said she was going to see if there was any meds that might help back on the ship since we ran out, or I ran out...they don't have much affect on me. It's funny, I've always been the one taking care of her." He shakes his head and smiles appearing to be thinking fondly of something as he lets out a breath of laughter. "I guess sometimes you have to be taken care of...Anyway, I wanted to use this camera while she was gone for it's intended purpose on this trip." He exits to the right of the camera, sounds can be heard as he moves things around in the apartment and then all goes silent for a few seconds before he comes back in front of the camera. "I bought this while were were still on Coruscant." He holds up a ring in a black velvet case, for a moment before closing it again and taking it off camera and continued on with a smile. "I'm going to ask her to marry me when we get out of her and finally to Naboo. Anyway, this is Lieutenant Crix Olden, Republic Army, 235th Legion. Signing off." He reaches out to turn the camera off but retracts his hand for a moment. "There was one last thing, not really relevant but it was odd and I wanted to remember it. There was this really strange guy that was dressed in all black in town today, maybe it's just me but I swear he was staring at me the entire time he was there, then he was gone. Weird huh?" He hears the door open and gets up without turning the camera off. Voices can be heard in the background, one is definitely female before steps can be heard walking back to the camera before it shuts off.

Video Journal Entry 2:
A mildly tired looking Crix sits in front of the camera as it comes on. He's irritated and holding his head. A woman is heard giggling in the background and he mockingly laughs back silently. "Ok and welcome to the second exciting journal entry in this--" Miranda cut him off playfully, "Crix do it right." "Ok fine." He rolls his eyes and sighs, "Video Journal Entry 2, Day 4. We had some mechanical issues with the ship, which were not my fault no matter what some people will tell you." He looks off camera only to be answered by another giggle. "Anyway, we landed here and the ship is being fixed, but Miss Optimist over there thinks that we can have fun no matter where we are, but I personally wanted to go to one of the beaches on Naboo while we're on leave. Anyhoo, the mechanic says we should be out of here tomorrow but you know how that goes. This place is far from paradise, there's storms and it's constantly dusk, I can't sleep a wink. I've been up about 34 hours now. Not that I can't handle it, we stay up that long on deployment all the time. But I have been getting some mild headaches. Williams thinks I should record my lack of sleep to make some documentary or something." Miranda chimes in again from behind the camera, "You know Lieutenant we are on leave and you are my boyfriend, you don't have to call me Williams all the time." He smiles and looks a little sheepish at her, "Sorry babe, old habits. Anyway, Miranda thinks I should record this." He looks off camera with a smug little smirk, "Better?" *He flinched as a pillow came flying at him from off camera then laughed before looking back at the camera and continuing on. "Well I think that's enough for now, as always this is Lieutenant Crix Olden, Republic Army, 235th Legion. Signing off, SIR!" He did a mock salute and laughed with a big smile on his face. "Was that good enou--" The camera cuts off in the middle of his sentence as he stands but it is clear that the journal entry is over.

Video Journal Entry 1:
Miranda, a stunningly beautiful blond haired woman with an amazing smile, appears on screen as the camera comes on and then Crix walks in from behind the camera before wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her into him and kissing her, before looking to the camera, "I am Lieutenant Crix Olden and here with me is the beautiful and talented Dr. Miranda Williams or as the military likes to call her Chief Miranda Williams." "Hello!" She Interjects with an excited and chipper tone as she waved. "And we are here on Coruscant about to set out to NABOO!! For a much needed vacation and more importantly some much needed--" She smiles and elbows him in the ribs to interrupt him before continuing on for him, "Relaxation, we're keeping a video journal of the whole trip so that I have something to hold over his head when his I want his friends to leave." He tickles her sides so that she stops talking and then he takes over again. "This is Video Journal Entry One, Day One and next time you see us we'll be on Naboo!" He kisses her once more before running up to the camera and shutting it off.

Last Video Journal Entry
A young woman appears on the screen, she is terrified. Her makeup is streaming down her cheeks with tears. The picture is shaking badly as her hand trembled. "My name is Chief Miranda Williams," she pauses briefly as her tears overwhelm her, "I'm a doctor in the Republic Navy...none of this was supposed to happen..." She started to cry again, waiting a moment before she could compose herself enough to move forward. "On this camera you'll find a detailed log of what happened and why we're here."
"He said he saw a man out there, that he kept following him around and I didn't believe him. I decided that I would go and try to help him, to show him that there wasn't a man out there, that he just needed to get some sleep. We walked for a little while when Crix said that he saw him, I didn't see anything but when Crix started running I followed him for about a block until we got to an alley." Once again she started to cry uncontrollably, but it was brief, like she knew she didn't have much time to tell her story. "When I got there Crix was doubled over holding his head, he was scared, but I didn't see anything...then I felt the knife go into my side. I didn't know what to do so I just ran. But I could hear the footsteps behind me, chasing me....I'm so scared...it wasn't supposed to be like this...we were supposed to.." The door opened behind her and a man stepped in, she dropped the camera and and it laid facing the floor as she crawled out of frame. "Miranda?" He sounded almost confused at first, until he started whistling a rather creepy tune and continued to step forward until he was out of the frame. "Crix please....Don't do this. Please. I love you. Crix. CRIX!...NOOO!!!..."
Several minutes of film pass by the audio detailing the events happening of screen, grunts, screams and pleas off camera and then silence for a moment until the whistling begins again and then the camera starts to move, focusing on the blood splattered face of a man with blood shot eyes with dark circled bags below them. His expression nothing at all like the man that stepped through the door. A sadistic smile comes across the man's face, and then fades quickly as he begins to speak. "Video Journal blah blah blah. Crix Olden is dead, you can call me--The Whistler. And you ain't seen nothing yet! I'll see you soon." *The same sadistic smile comes across his face followed by an insane laughter as he drops the camera and walks out the door, whistling.
