Character Name:
Maya
Face-Claim:
Eve Harlow
RP Sample: Maya's head was spinning as she tried to stay focused, but she felt herself slowly losing her control on her emotions. She gripped Jasper's hand tightly, though she felt numb inside. Staring straight ahead, she somehow manage to not trip over her own two feet. Her world was gone. Her life. Her father. Yet she couldn't cry. The numbness prevented that. When they reached the camp She glance briefly at the sign marking the name of it. She followed Jasper through the camp and waited patiently for them to get their room assignment, nodding distantly to the person giving them the assignment. She had offered to get Maya her own quarters, but Maya had moved closer to Jasper and shook her head. She couldn't be alone right now. Not at this point. Everything was so strange right now and the living conditions were a bit different than what she was used to. But, she didn't complain. She wouldn't even if she could. That was not her way. As he lead her toward his quarters, she could feel eyes upon her. She didn't look up though. She didn't want to see expressions on an endless sea of faces. Some would not like her presence there at all because of who she was. Others would be grateful to her for helping them. But most would have pity on their faces and she would not be able to handle that. Not right now. It was bad enough to get the look from the brown eyed girl that gave Jasper his goggles. She seemed to feel bad for her.
When Jasper had finally closed the door behind them and pulled her into his arms she finally fell apart. She clung to him as she felt the first twinge of emotional pain tear through her body, making her tremble. Maya was not quite crying yet, but she could feel the tears close at hand. Was she dreaming? When would she wake up? If she fell asleep right now, would it have all been a dream and when she awoke would she see her father again? Was she truly the only living legacy from the Mountain Men? She already knew the answer to the questions that she asked herself, but she asked them anyway. When the fist tear slid down her cheek, she had tried holding it back but, the burning sensation had come too fast.
