Verse: The 100
Character Name: Faye Allison Bates
Face-Claim: Teresa Palmer
RP Sample: Chaos. Chaos was everywhere and there was no avoiding it. Dead bodies littered the ground and most of them consisted of her own people but sometimes she was able to spot a dead grounder. Their guns had done some damage but not enough to make a real difference. They had wasted so many bullets on the grounders as they had been moving back and forth among the trees. It didn’t help that Raven had been injured and had been unable to continue making bullets because Murphy had used up the rest of their gunpowder. She didn’t know how they thought this was going to end. She didn’t know how this could have possibly ended in their favor. She admired Bellamy for wanting to fight for their home. Faye wouldn’t have been able to roll over without fighting either, but they had lost so many people. The grounders had dealt a powerful blow with their poisoned arrows and miraculous aim of their spears.
Blood and dirt and sweat covered her face. She was exhausted but couldn’t afford to be. She had to keep fighting. A grounder rushed towards her and she used her gun, which was more of a glorified paperweight at this point, to smash him in the face. He was out cold but not dead. Quickly, Faye reached down and grabbed the sword and spear he had been holding. She wondered why he hadn’t thrown the spear at her but she didn’t want to question it. She was lucky to still be alive. Faye threw a spear at a grounder that was in the middle of killing one of her people. She had killed the grounder with fairly decent aim, but she knew that the person he had been killing was already dead. She hadn’t been able to save them.
The sound of the door closing caught her attention. Her head whipped in the direction of the drop ship and saw that the door was indeed closing. Panic ran through her body as she started to rush towards the door. She could make it if she went fast enough. But not all of their people were inside, that much she could see. Faye knew that the door closing meant that Jasper and Clarke had succeeded and that the fire from the rockets would soon scorch the Earth. Jumping over a few bodies, Faye was almost to the drop ship but she saw Clarke’s concerned face and Faye followed her line of sight. A grounder was beating Bellamy but Finn had quickly appeared to help him. Faye looked between the two boys and the still closing door. She could make the door but that would mean that Finn and Bellamy would be burned with the remaining grounders. But she knew that if she went for the door and saved herself, she would always feel responsible for their deaths. She would always wonder if she would have been able to save them.
The sword she had acquired slashed through the middle of the grounder. He fell to the floor and she reached down to pull the sword from his body but another grounder tackled her to the hard ground. She cried out in pain as she felt a horrible sensation radiate from her shoulder. The grounder raised his knife to slit her throat but Faye had been able to reach for a rock and she smashed it upside his head. He wasn’t down for the count but the hit had been enough to allow her to get out from underneath him and get the sword from the body. Faye quickly hacked at his head until she was certain he would no longer be an issue. Faye looked up in panic, unsure of how much time had passed since she had made her decision to try to save Bellamy and Finn. She could be fried in the next minute depending on when they decided to torch everyone. Many of the grounders had started banging on the door of the drop ship in an attempt to break through. Relieved at the distraction, Faye rushed over towards Bellamy. “We need to get out of here,” she said through labored breathing.
The blonde tried her best to help him stand, using her good arm since her shoulder was still on fire. With her luck, she had probably dislocated it. But Faye didn’t have time to worry about her shoulder. She had to worry about keeping her and Bellamy alive. Finn was nowhere in sight but she didn’t have time to find him. She tried going as quickly as possible towards the tunnel near their camp. Even if they could get inside they had a chance of avoiding the fire. The fire could certainly make its way into the tunnel but it was less likely. At least they had a chance of survival this way. “You okay?” Faye asked, looking over at Bellamy. She tried to focus on him so she could ignore the pain she felt in her shoulder.
